Actually called "Faded Bistro and Beer Garden". I love this place. From delicious Korean Ribs to an amazing Vegan Buddha bowl, and great wine and beer selections. :)

A beautiful place to take kids (water and nature playground!) take a walk, or bring a picnic and watch the sun set. The highest point for many, many miles around, and a beautiful historic garden. The restaurant is pretty good too.

So cute, so little, so cheap: a used book store that still sells many books for a dollar. All proceeds support the local library. Quite a good selection.

Sweet Frog

So this is the town Museum. It's as cute as one might hope for such a tiny town. AND the cinder-block mold that was used to build YOUR HOME away from home is in the back room- it was donated by my great-grandfather, Cary Scott.

This is my even-more-favorite Taco place. Order at the window and eat at the picnic tables. They only have tacos and horchata, but man, they're good.

This is a sweet historic hotel built in the roaring twenties, Avon Park's heyday, which serves brunch/lunch many days of the week (check with them directly).

Well, that's some classic southern food. They even have a meal that involves jello. But I don't want to give too much away. It's yummy, and they're nice. :)

A little playground on the lake. There is a swimming area (with no lifeguard), hop on in if weather permits! The bathrooms are yucky, I change in my car.
