Here is a list of fun things to do when staying in the area; We have a lot of historically beautiful towns and villages to visit such as Lavenham and Long Melford. The largest of these is Bury St Edmunds itself which has a lot of good eating facilities as well as lots to see and do. There are some lovely local walks to go on in and around our local villages with good pubs to eat at after a lovely long walk such as Hartest, Hawkenden and Denston which are all situated in what is known as the Golden triangle and are basically nationally preserved villages. Not far away you have Newmarket, home of horseracing where you can take a tour of the National Stud, visit Palace House and go on a Thoroughbred Breakfast tour.
