We live 5 minutes away, some good restaurants and local shopping. Beautiful walk around the town and down to the government dock. They have a really good bakery, and a small museum to enjoy.

Great place for a day trip, Ferry leaves from Crofton, about a 20 minute ferry ride. Winery's and Cider makers. Drive up Mt. Maxwell if you have a 4 wheel drive, it's a beautiful view once you get up there.

Hikes

Great hike for intermediate and up. The harder hike is the entrance from Tzouhalem Rd. Parking in front of the White Church and walk over to the yellow barrier and walk to the right. Or Drive to the other side of the Mountain, have not hiked the easy side but I think you can park halfway up. Take water and snacks if you do other intermediate. It can get steep, most dogs are leashed as there are cliffs near by at the top.

An easy off leash trail to take your dog. About a half hour walk around the lake. It gets a bit mucky in fall/winter. Great in the Summertime.
