My favorite restaurants
In town there are number of great places to eat so skip the Mcdonalds and Taco Bell. I'd strongly recommend all of these gems.
This is a great place for late night food in Luray. The pizza is great, the fries are great. The subs are great. They deliver up to 12 miles without a 2$ fee. It's the best deal in town for sure. A great place to have a relaxed meal. They often have live music on weekends.

The owner or his wife will seat you, and the girls serve the food. Later night food and full bar. In the underworks of the famous mimslyn inn. You can take your drinks to the inn upstairs and chill by the fireplaces. Very cool. Good solid american food.

Greasy spoon and late night bar and food. Friendly staff and hangout for the locals. Its got an enormous menu and some decent craft beer. Also the closest thing to a sports bar so if there's a game you want to watch, go there.

This is the closest place to the house. It's tiny. It's adorable. They sell their own meats, cheeses, wines and whiskey. They give a very good, short tour of the distillery as well. Enjoy a glass of fruit wine on the porch

Award winning wines and maybe an exciting walk across a suspension bridge if the road is washed out. Absolutely stunning views and beautiful inside and outside decor. You'll love it. Just take the pass over the massanutten. Also an exciting ride through the mountains.

About 30 minutes from the house, this place features 100% estate produced wine. It's an active farm too so you can sit in the chairs outside and watch the sheep and chickens walk around. Very beautiful in the spring.

Easy hike that is fun and mostly accessible to everyone. It gives some of the best views of the entire valley you can find and you can do it and be back in the car in 15 minutes...if you want to.
