The nearest cafe/shop to my place - a 15 min walk along the side of the hill or along the road. Parking is possible on track/road. Stocks basic groceries and fresh local veg, aswell as newspapers, cards, books, crafts and gifts by local artists and has a wonderful selection of cakes, homemade soup, fresh bread and really good coffee. Veggie/vegan options. Friendly local staff. Indoor (including sofas !) and outdoor seating (the photo doesnt do it justice) Lovely place to begin or end a walk to the Worcestershire Beacon as its en route from my place. Or just pop there for breakfast or lunch.

The Brewers is a half hour walk from my place - either along a lovely hillside path (no 'summitting' involved !) or a quiet road. Fabulously located, tucked away down a rough track, its tiny but full of character, with real fire, craft beers from our local micro brewery, garden with outdoor seating with amazing views and sunsets, great food and folk nights. Located between the hills and woodland/farmland, so a great rest stop or start/finish point for a mix of hillwalking and dropping down to explore some lesser known 'best kept secret' pathways !

This cafe is a little further from my place if walking - about an hour - but is a great destination for a half day walk via the Worcestershire Beacon (or a stop over if you are carrying on to British Camp) Its also the only flat bike ride from mine - along the side of the hills (amazing views up to the hills and across to Wales) on a very quiet B road or an undulating hillside track. From town, you can walk over the common then up the crazy steep but charming 'Old Wyche Road' with its amazing views and quirky cottages, then pass through the famous Wyche cutting. You could make a great day out from mine, incorporating this cafe, the hills and a trip to town, either walking, biking or car. Mobility scooters can be hired from here for use on the nearby track to the Beacon. Staffed by youngsters with disabilites, Cafe H2O's 'rocky road' slices are amazing, coffee great, outdoor/indoor seating (including sofas and newspapers and info leaflets) and the 'Wyche Inn' pub is just round the corner !
