Restaurants
The Cayman Islands is the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean and these are some of our favourite restaurants, covering a wide range of cuisines and price points.
$$/$$$ Reservations recommended. Ask for a table right on the water and plan to arrive before sunset. Located in Camana Bay on the North Sound side, you won't see the sun dip below the horizon but the colours across the sky are spectacular and the food and cocktails here are always amazing.

$$/$$$ Reservations recommended. Hands down my favourite restaurant in the Cayman Islands. Located in an office complex downtown, The Brasserie is the epitome of slow food. They have an apiary and chicken coop, own fishing boats, and employ fishers and gardeners to bring in the fresh catch and produce from the greenhouse and urban garden. If they don't grow or catch it themselves they source from local farmers wherever possible. Check their Facebook page for daily specials and always order the grilled cheese share plate. Note: Closed on weekends.

$$$ Reservations required. The best sushi in Cayman is at the Ritz Carlton. Though you can also find delicious options for a lower price at Mizu or Yoshi Sushi, here the fish is super fresh, the wasabi is real, and the service is exceptional. On Wednesdays, the Omakase menu is available at a reduced price.

$ Huge portions! Sharing is definitely possible, especially if you get something with a side of Sunshine Scramble. Most famous for their fish tacos and kitchen sink burger. This is a very casual joint that is part of the Sunshine Suites hotel and has both indoor and poolside seating, which makes it a good option if you're in beachwear.

$$$/$$$$ Mouthwatering Venetian-inspired tapas on the canal at the Cayman Islands Yacht Club. The bill can add up with a lot of small plates but everything is delicious.
