My Favorite Local Restaurants

$$ Sodolack Beef Master "If you're traveling through Bryan/College Station Sodolaks is a great stop right off the highway to give you a taste of local cuisine. They feature a menu full of Texan food at a good price, served in an unassuming building with wood walls and a rustic feel. A couple of things to know are they won't seat you until your entire party has arrived and you pay at the hostess station after your meal" True Texan Traveler
$$ "Local Italian restaurant, limited menu but well done. Nice wait staff, popular with the locals. Nice environment and ambiance" Steveg

$$ "This is a soup, sandwich, quiche, shop. Order at the counter and wait for your number. The sandwiches are full and fresh. They usually have three soups and a broad selection of sandwiches. My favorite lunch is a bowl of soup and the stuffed avocado (stuffed with either tuna salad or chicken salad). They also have enticing pies on display as well as ice cream. Gets a bit crowded right at lunchtime, but if weather is nice, they have some tables outside as well" Elmer Ellis

Things to Do while you are in BCS

First Friday First Friday, a free event in Downtown Bryan, has become the “must do” activity for residents and tourists alike. Around 5:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month, the sidewalks begin to buzz with activity. By dusk, streets and sidewalks are teeming with people pausing to listen to street musicians, watch a magic act, peruse artwork or just chat with friends. Shops stay open late and restaurants stay busy until well into the late evening. And if you’re looking for even more to do, The Palace Theater plays host to live music starting at 8 p.m.
