Nogui's has been part of Tamarindo since the 70's. It is located on the beach at the southern end of the strip. They offer excellent seafood dishes. It is a perfect place to eat and watch the famous Tamarindo sunsets. Reservations are recommended.

155Nogui's has been part of Tamarindo since the 70's. It is located on the beach at the southern end of the strip. They offer excellent seafood dishes. It is a perfect place to eat and watch the famous Tamarindo sunsets. Reservations are recommended.

Coco Loco is located on the beach at Playa Flamingo. It is a 30 minute drive north from Tamarindo. If you have a car, this restaurant is highly recommended. Get a table on the beach and watch the waves. Playa Flamingo is a beautiful beach and hardly ever crowded. If you like seared tuna, the seared tuna tacos are a must. I also like the plantain appetizer. A new take on "chips and salsa" that I think you'll enjoy. And if the day is hot, make sure you order coconut water in the coconut! So cold and so refreshing. I had to order 2 the last time I was there.

This restaurant buys their fish daily from local fishermen and it. is. AMAZING! Best mahi mahi I've ever eaten. About a 10 minute walk from the condo.
If you're celebrating a special occasion and you have a car, you HAVE to make a reservation for sunset and dinner at Sentido Norte. It is a very special experience. Patrons are seated in "stadium" beach-style couches to watch views of the sunset on the water. Stunning. You can order appetizers (potstickers were delicious!) and enjoy a beverage (great craft beers and the smoothest saki I've ever had) while you enjoy the view. After the sun sets, you are escorted to your table in the dining room for a special treat. I recommend the BBQ Chicken. I know it sounds basic, but believe me, it was absolutely delicious. The hibiscus spritz is a nice fruity drink that I highly recommend.

Sightseeing
If you have a car and would like to snorkel, we recommend this sail boat adventure. It's 1-1.5 hour drive to Playas Del Coco.
They offer two tours:
1) Morning Sailing & Snorkeling Tour: 9:00 AM TO 1:00 PM, Meeting to board is 8:30 AM. You'll see Monkey Head rock, Islas las Pelonas, and Witch's Rock (a popular spot amongst local surfers and thrill seekers). You may even see dolphins, whales, sea turtles, rays, and any number of fascinating fish.

Reina's Chocolate roasts their own cacao from 3 different farms and climates in Costa Rica. They also have only two ingredients for their pure dark chocolates: cacao and brown cane sugar. No chemicals or preservatives. They have a great variety of chocolate that depend on the amount of cacao: 90%, 85 %, 80%, 75%, 70%, 60% and a variety of milk, white, and dairy-free (milk chocolate alternative) almond chocolates.
Ron Milewski and his wife Reina Lopez Gatica are the owners of Reina’s Chocolate. They opened Reina’s Chocolate Café in January 2019 (from 9 am to 4pm) and it’s a blast. They serve: brownies, bars, cacao tea, hot chocolate, powder, chocolate mochas and coffee.
Reina's Chocolate is in El Llanito, a 15 minute drive from Tamarindo, in a house with a big garden full of fruit trees.
Bring lots of cash, because Reina's doesn't accept credit cards.
