Каугури- достаточно старинное место с "аристократическим происхождением". Район появился во времена герцога Екаба, как один из крупнейших Курземских портов. Его амбиции допускали даже конкуренцию с Ригой, которая установила тогда для герцогских кораблей большую пошлину. Хозяйственный правитель решил построить свой порт, соединить его каналом с Лиелупе и стать независимым от рижан. Амбициозные планы герцога не увенчались успехом. Позже в Каугури полюбили приезжать на отдых курземские помещики. Можно сказать, что Юрмала, как курорт, создавалась именно в Каугури.

Бой проходил с армией большевиков. И в память Золту и его товарищам во время этой битве был установлен памятник 1934 году, который устанавливали 2 раза, так как в 1940-ых годах был разрушен.
Но окончательно был восстановлен 18 мая 1989 года.
И в этом году 18 мая приходил народ и возлагал цветы.
В Каугури в честь Паула Золта есть улица, которая идёт до моря.

The Great Ķemeri Bog is one of the main sulphur water producing bogs around Ķemeri. The bog land soil is poor in nutrients, acid and in many places sodden. Most trees are not able to endure the harsh conditions; therefore, there are only a few surviving species, like pine and birch; and the trees do not mature as they do in the forest.
During the passage of migratory birds the bog is an excellent place for bird viewing. There are times when flocks of hundreds of birds – geese and cranes – can be seen flying over the bog land, the sound of their cries lingering in the air.
The Great Ķemeri Bog Boardwalk will make your way easy into this otherwise hardly accessible land of moss, undersized pine trees, deep pools, tiny dark lakes and the flavour of wild rosemary.
The boardwalk is built from wooden boards and it runs in two arcs. The shorter arc is going to take you as far as the first picturesque lake, while the longer arc will let you take a look at the landscape from the observation platform above.
The time required for the walk is: 1.5 h (if you move along the shorter arc) or 1 h (if you take the longer arc).
Amenities: there is a WC in the area and picnic tables and benches. There are also benches on the overhead platform and at two sites along the boardwalk.
The length of the boardwalk: 3.7 km (the longer arc) and 1.5 km (the shorter arc)
Accessibility: the boardwalk is not suitable for visitors in wheelchairs and is not equipped with a rail.

House of Aspazija in Dubulti is the most unusual and the most beautiful museum in Jūrmala. It was the will of the poetess’ for this house to become a place to meet for writers, artists, photographers and other intellectuals from Riga, Jūrmala and Latvia. Необычный памятник природы находится вблизи станции Приедайне. Особенности дюны — её абсолютно белый цвет и перпендикулярное расположение по отношению к прибрежной линии. По оценкам исследователей, на её образование ушло 150-200 лет. Причина возникновения дюны – прорыв реки Лиелупе в 1757 году. Русло восстановили, но осталась возвышенная песчаная полоска протяжённостью около 800 метров.

The Dubulti Art Station is an excellent example of how to combine transport, cultural and public administration resources to make a unique art platform accessible to everyone. The Dubulti Station was built in 1977, and, according to the idea of its architect Igor Javein, it created associations with the rolling sea. In 2015, the station was fully renovated, which also made it possible to create a professionally-managed art gallery here.

The 3 floors of Līvu Akvaparks includes more than 20 different slides, more than 10 pools of various depths and sizes, attractions for children, SPA complex with 4 saunas, cold pool, salt chamber, bubble baths and air and underwater massage facilities, as well as food service and bar on water. The start tower of the slides reaches 7-storey house height.
The park’s area is 11 000m2, but in summers additional 7 000m2 become available to visitors, bringing the total area to 18 000m2 and making this the largest closed-type water park in the Northern Europe, which operates throughout the year.

In 1936 a closed type concert hall architected according to the projects of Alexander Birzenieks and Victor Mellenburg with 690 seats, the interior of which retaining three separate paintinging - “Lielupe”, “Jūra” (“Sea”) and “Latvia” by Ansis Cirulis, a master of applied and decorative arts and inhabitant of Jurmala ”. In 1960 an open air summer concert hall was built with the capacity of welcoming 2000 people as an audience. Architects Modris Gelzis, Alberts Vecsilis, constructor Andris Bite. The decoration of metal constructions of the concert hall with a wooden sidings provide a great acoustics. In 2015, after a full reconstruction the historical small hall of the closed type concert hall was opened to the audience.

concert where the song “Dievs, svētī Latviju” was performed. Now this song is a national anthem. Despite the fact that in 1913 the Horn’s Garden together with all the ambient buildings burnt down in fire, in 1970, a cinema “Jūrmala” was built there, now Jūrmala cultural centre is located here.

Здесь начинался когда-то Юрмальский курорт еще в 16-м веке были обнаружены месторождения целительных грязей (лечебного торфа и сапропелевого ила), а также сероводородные источники.
