This place is a 2 hour hike away from Tübingen - 4 hour round trip, if you decide to hike back. Alternatively, there is a bus, which brings you quickly back into town.
During your hike you will pass Tübingen's pictoresque old town, a traditional German Biergarten, strawberry fields (in late spring, early summer) and a quiet forest.
The biergarten is beautifully located next to a little farm. There, you can stop for a refreshing beverage or for an entire German lunch or dinner. The strawberry fields are located next to the biergarten and usually open in Mai and June. For a relatively small price you get to pick your own strawberries, at least 2 kilos though. So take that into account in case you wish to do that during your hike.

In summer, they have a roof terrace just above the actual restaurant. The furniture appears rather practical, but don't be blinded by it. Their food is great! Tip: their pizza buffala is great. :D

This is another German restaurant/bar. They offer swabian tapas and a variety of drinks - not only beers :D. But be aware, the is very popular among locals; so make sure you dont get there too late.

This is a Japanese Izakaya restaurant. This place is perhaps best described as Japanese tapas restaurant. The food is really really good. But I would advise you not to go there, if Sushi is on your mind.

This is another very good Italian restaurant. It is just around the corner from our place; perhaps a 1 minute walk away. They serve good Primitivo and their pizza is also delicious.

The quarter gives off a different vibe than the rest of the city. You will find the Wohnwagensiedlung, a Japanese Izakaya restaurant, an indian restaurant and lots of interesting looking buildings.
