Historical Park
Mactan Shrine is a historical place of Mactan, Cebu. Once a year, the Filipinos celebrate its anniversary from winning the battle against the Spaniards colonization leaded by Magellan. This year 2019 is 498th anniversary of Battle of Mactan or known as Kadaugan sa Mactan. Inside the park, you can see the monument of Lapu Lapu, the hero of the Battle of Mactan and the big Philippine flag. There also small huts, antiques, souvenir shops and has a view of the Mactan Sea. More tourists come during summer and holidays. Come and see for yourself. :)

Beach
Mactan Newtown Beach is a happy and simply relaxing beach. Quite new to some tourists but for your guide, Mactan Newtown beach is the old Portofino before. Its theme is more lively because it uses rainbow mixed of colors around. It has an entrance fee from 150-200 pesos per head. Cottage fee varies from the number of person in a group. It has a minibar and food store inside as well. You may lie down on the sand and enjoy the sun and listen the beach waves of the shore. For adventurous buddies, there are watersports to try on; to name a few, it has banana boat, flying fish boat, jetski, parasailing, paddle boarding and more. Mactan Airport is not a tourist destination but for everybody's attention, The Mactan Newtown is near from the Mactan Airport. It will only takes 10-15 minutes driving to get in the area from the airport. It has well improved and more spacious than before. 😍 New location for international trips (either departure or arrival) while same location for local trips.
