We went there before we transitioned to veganism. The staff is friendly and helpful. You get your food quickly while you sit at a table or a booth with a large flat-screen in view displaying your favorite programs or music.

If you like to have a short trip to a great adventure for a pinch, the Robert Moses Lighthouse is the place to visit for a small fee. We had visited there for my 47th birthday. It comes with a verbal history tour of the lighthouse as well as the visit. If not, there is always relaxing in the sand and sun. It's a place to revisit.
