If you want to get away from London's busy life, traffic and general bustle, it is the perfect place as a good walk on the common " blows away the cobwebs " . Horse riding is possible, picking up from the 2 Riding Stables in Wimbledon Village.
Or just go for a "pint " / a beer in the many country type pubs that are on the edge of the common ; the Fox and Grapes is a particularly good one, for food also.

It is at the end of our street, Clonmore Street and is where the crowds of tennis fans camp every year for the Wimblefon queue. It had a pretty lake complete with swans and wildlife as well as boating activities; public tennis courts, bowls, cafe, children's play area etc. It is also a pleasant shortcut to Wimbledon village and the Tennis Grounds.
