Sightseeing

Great beach and very picturesque due to its half moon Bay shape. Only just over 1 hour drive to get here from the city centre. Food and drinks can be purchased here along with bbq facilities at reasonable prices. Best to stop off at the new market to purchase meat and fish before heading down there. There is surfing to be got there, but only on the right days due to wind currents. Do be very careful of the water currents in the centre of the beach areas as they can pull you out to the sea. Be very vigilant of your children when they are playing in the water. If you and your family or friends are interested in a day out to Nactobon Then message Cheryl before you arrive and she can do all the organising for you....

Honda Bay to me is really a Gem for people who have only short stays in Puerto Princesa. It's only 40 min drive from our place. From there you hop on a out rigger boat ( very safe and about 12 m long..) People capacity is about 20 pax and has 3 crew. From there its smooth motoring across the sea to an island of your choice. This is a full or half day trip so the choice is yours. Plenty of food and drink available and huts to protect you from the sun at a reasonable price. Boat trips from Honda Bay are around 30 mins. It's a great place to visit and we'll worth it... Great beaches! If you and your family or friends are interested in a day out to Honda Bay. Then message Cheryl before you arrive and she can do all the organising for you....

This is a must see for the war enthusiast looking for some past war history about Palawan Island and is only a 5 minute drive from our home. My advise to anyone interested in coming here is to then follow up and then go to the Palawan Massacre at Plaza Cuartel this will complete the event of what really happened. You will then come to terms about this horrific event. It's just opposite the main Cathedral. This is an interesting, privately owned museum set up by Eugenio Mendoza, whose father was a member of the Fighting 1000, a group of local guerrillas who fought the Japanese (his father was ultimately beheaded). The museum is chock-full of war memorabilia and has tributes to the Fighting 1000 and to the 143 Americans who died in the notorious Palawan Massacre at Plaza Cuartel.

Unique with its own brand! If you Want chill... Then this is it! One of my favourite places to get away from it all. Very Quite township with sandy roads and nice little restaurants tucked away in between the palm trees. You can find the odd bar for a drink or 2 and chat to people from all parts of the world. Port Barton doesn’t make it onto many people’s Palawan itinerary, but it really should. For traveller’s seeking the perfect combination of quaint fishing village and empty beach paradise, something that has become increasingly difficult to pin down in the island’s north, this peaceful town on Palawan’s west coast might just be the answer. This is the jewel in the crown! Definitely the number one tourist trip on Palawan’s list of rustic beautiful ventures. El Nido in Palawan houses the most beautiful locations in the world. Hidden lagoons with limestone formations and sandbanks that form stunning islands with white beaches and blue water are just the tip of what the 7, 100 islands in the Philippines have in store for you. The El Nido island hopping tours are the most popular reason to visit this little town. If you and your family or friends are interested in a sightseeing to El Nido. One of the best views of all over Puerto Princesa. There is a zip line for the brave hearted. Also for the kids are horses to get up close with. Open in daylight hours only.

World War 2 atrocities of the American war troops took place here. Please visit the local War museum before coming here. It will give you a better understanding of what actually happened. It's at the opposite end of the city on Rizal avenue on the left hand side 15 minutes trike ride. Down by the Airport runway.

If you want to view the bay then this is the place where you can observe it all. There are eateries during the late afternoon so you can grab a seat eat and drink whilst you watch the sun go down. Fabulous sunset here. Definitely visit Elons bar and see Cynthia... She does fabulous meals from breakfast to lunch and in between. Coldest beers in town without a doubt. Cynthia had her own restaurant in Sydney Australia and has awards for her lovely cooking. Elon bar and restaurant is on Bay walk down towards the wharf end towards the rear. Follow the signs. This is about a 20 minute tricycle ride from our home.
