Food scene
We have many amazing restaurants - 8 recently added to the Michelin Guide 2020 including Joseph Benjamin, Porta Tapas, Simon Radley at the Chester Grosvenor, Hypha - our fabulous vegan restaurant, Da Noi, Chefs Table, the wonderful small plates Covino and Upstairs at the Grill. Ristorante Sergio and Da Noi also triumphed at the recent 2019 Italian Awards, winning the best pasta category and most authentic cuisine respectively. Theres a lot of Italian eateries in Chester - must be something to do with the Romans! Dough Dough, La Fattoria and Stile Napoletano in the Chester Market are also favourites. Perfect for a casual drop in - you can't book. This restaurant is tiny and you sit where you can. Ideal for couples and small groups, its dark and intimate. Tapas is served as and when its ready and is always excellent. Great outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant for summer nights. Located right at the top of Northgate St next to the Roman Walls. Open from 5pm daily.
