A more residential area of town but still full of higher end shopping but a full spectrum of prices re: eats. Empellon Taqueria is worth getting a reservation for. You can find a seats at the bar easily though if you get there when they open at 5:30. $5 tacos and $9 margaritas and everything, and I mean everything is made in house and delicious.

A short walk or only one train stop away is Cortelyou Road. Head there for the best restaurants and bars in this area. Ask Google Maps for directions to Cafe Madeline's on Cortelyou Rd and that puts you right in the thick of the commercial strip. There's even a library and a taco truck right in front of it.

It has a real family vibe and incredible murals on the walls, and their selection of tequilas and mezcals is most impressive.
