A beautiful scenic walk. Steep but short. Especially beautiful for sun rise (or sun set). Recommend starting the hike around 5pm then get to the peak around 5:45pm for sunset.
Night hikes are safe as it is fully lit! Just nearby the apartment.

Bustling night market that is just 2 MRT stops away. Stretches for about 500m, there are countless food options and small eats. The neon lights and bustling vibe make this a fantastic night market to visit. I personally love the street Teppanyaki and the stall called "Jiufen yuyuan" that sells icy taro ball desserts.

A great introduction to Taiwanese local cuisine. Try the beef noodles, pork dumplings! Nice decor and budget prices. The cuisine found here is quite local, but without the grit. Slightly more expensive then a rugged noodle shop you find in an obscure alley, but the cleanliness is top notch, quality is consistent and the price is right. This is a good introduction to some Taiwanese local dishes.

Slightly more expensive then a rugged noodle shop you find in an obscure alley, but the cleanliness is top notch, quality is consistent and the price is right. This is a good introduction to some Taiwanese local dishes.
If you're craving some Italian food, Zoca's Pizzeria is run by an Italian chef; visited frequently by true Italians. Some very authentic selections. The pizzas are prepared in the Neapolitan pizza which means they're cooked very quickly at high temperatures, tend to have a chewier texture and very soft and even slightly soggy at their center. Delicious!
