Mid city is exactly that, in the middle of it all. I love to spend afternoons walking around the bayou St. John or popping into the museum and exploring city park. It's an easy bike ride downtown and we have great bars and restaurants here too. A lot less rowdy than the French Quarter, but still with lots going on.
