It has a nice feel to it, a must visit when in Penang to check out the street art (not all are on this street, but there are quite a few close to each other on nearby streets), beautiful heritage houses, hip cafes and lovely temples. But I would recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds and heat, and of course don't forget sunscreen and drinking water to keep hydrated.

My favourite spots for FOOD
My favourite place for Nyonya Kuih (Peranakan cakes) and snacks.
The Nyonya Kuih here is well priced and there is quite a big range to select from. They also serve some meals (e.g., Laksa and Nasi Lemak). The atmosphere here is really great too.

The Koay Theow Th'ng here is delicious. Our favourite place for it. Do remember to come early though as it gets quite busy here and they may run out (especially during the weekends). If I'm not mistaken they only serve breakfast and lunch here.

It serves one of a kind curry mee and it's really delicious. It's always busy during lunch time, so come early for easy parking and to get a free table. Plus, they no longer provide plastic straws with drinks here (so much better for the environment).

Cheong Fatt Tze (Blue Mansion) is great for the perfect Instagram photo and they also have tours for you to learn more about its history. You can also come here to check out the Peranakan home decor they have on display here. Check their website via google for tour times. It costs RM18 per adult for the tour, and RM9.50 per child under 12 years old.

It's a great place to see Penang from the top. The views here are lovely. There are also some nice photo spots here. Plus, a few restaurants and cafes too when you get hungry and thirsty. This can easily be done on a day trip.
