Nervi, Genoa and the East coast

Genoa is the paradise of the street food: you must try 'focaccia ligure', 'focaccia con cipolle', 'focaccia con formaggio' ( you can find them in a normal Bakery. then, I suggest to go in some 'friggitoria' in the Old Town and to taste 'farinata', 'panissa' ( both made of cheakpeas flower), ' frisciou' , ' friend small fish'. if you want to seat (I have some places to suggest) you can try: 'pansotti con salsa di noci' , 'trofie con pesto', 'ravioli', 'stocafisso', 'acciughe fritte', 'cima alla genovese', 'ripieni di verdura', 'torta pasqualina', 'minestrone alla genovese'. and more, more and more ... Genoa is for gourmet but also for vegetarians.

Nervi is the eastern part of Genoa, and it's worth to visit for its wonderful gardens and for the sea walk. Both of them are really unique. Nervi is a fishermen village but also an elegant spot where, at the beginning of the last century, the Prince of Wales and the russian royal family were used to spend time during the coldest season. there are some cobbles free beaches just in front of my house. there are also good restaurants and nice shops. Nervi is very safe for children because there is a large pedestrian area far from cars and trafic, and a very large playground area in the gardens. the climate in Winter in very very mild. from Nervi it is possible to go to Genoa and to every town of village on the coast using local trains and Genoa transport network (both not expensive). Staying in my house the car Is not necessary: food markets, beaches and buses are just out of the door and the train station is few minutes far.
