Lake Merritt has become a hub for food, bars, boutique shopping. It has an eclectic mix of shops, yoga studios, and one of the most beautiful historic theaters in the Bay Area. It's a wonderful place for a mellow stroll around the lake, having a picnic, or hitting the Saturday farmer's market.
