Beach day
Ghana has coastline that is 539 km long.
A good place for kitesurfing and relaxing at the beach. The beach is calm and clean in comparison to Labadi or Kokrobite. You can visit the beach by paying an entry fee at White Sands Beach Resort ($25 for nonmembers) or Tills No1 Beach Hotel (20 GHS each which will be deducted from your restaurant bill). I have personally only been to Tills and it was a nice experience. There is an experienced manager walking around everything is fine.

Looking for the closest beach to Cheers? Then you must visit Bojo beach. In comparison to Labadi it can feel a bit empty. There are not hoards of salesmen or large crowds, but this can be an welcome surprise. The beach is relatively clean and there are tables and chairs with sunshades. To get to the beach you enter through Bojo Beach resort (15GHS) and you have to sit in a canoe that brings you to the outstretched strip of beach called Bojo Beach.

We were guided by an knowledgeable man who spoke 4 different languages and knew everything about the birds, trees and plants along the way. If you have time to visit this part of Ghana definitely do it.

A sight that is highly visited and needs to be on your where to go list. Elmina Castle is the biggest and oldest slave castle still intact in West Africa. The excellent tourguides will guide you through the castle and tell the sad history that took place in this castle.

The beautiful Volta lake is a perfect spot to relax and take in the beautiful views. It is much more relaxed compared to the hustle and bustle of Accra. There are a lot of local bead factories in Krobo. There are glass bead tours you can take.
