A huge beach that's not crowed were you can throw a ball, swim or just sun bath. Park just off the beach and enjoy the large grassy areas equipped with BBQ facilities, picnic tables and cycle trails along side the beach out to the Mapua Ferry.

We would recommend lunch or dinner at Forsters Moutere Hills, a great place to relax with stunning views of the vines and the kahurangi rangers, a drink at New Zealand's oldest pub the Moutere Inn and wine tasting at Kahurangi Winery.
