This is a very short walk from our house. Not so much as a must see sort of thing, but more of a cute little park to see different fruits and veggies being grown as a community as well as a short walking circle for those who like to go for runs. For those with children, it hosts a playg ground they can run around. For both adults and children alike, it has a Pokemon Gym as well as a few Pokestops in the area in case you need to do some battling.

Food scene

Down the road from the house is a 24/7 Cafe with amazing pie shakes, burgers to die for, and reasonable prices on just about anything! If you're looking to enjoy a night out and just relax, it is a 5 minute bus/drive or 15 minute walk.

If you have never been to a Japaneses Steakhouse, it is worth the show and food. Steakhouses can be a bit pricey for dinner so we recommend attempting to snag a seat around lunch time (between 11:30am and 2pm). Located just across from the Silverdale Mall. A 20 minute drive/bus ride.

Wonderful Japanese ramen, sushi, and much more! Their ramen broth is falvorful and the noodles are soft and jam packed with that broth. Their pork on top of the ramen is tender and melt in your mouth.

Downtown Poulsbo is rich with Viking and Scandinavian culture; as well as a beautiful waterfront. Throughout the year, the city hosts different events such as Viking Fest (in May), Poulsbrew Beer Festival (In September), Julefest (in December), as well as a lot more events. More so Downtown Bremerton than just Bremerton. In the Downtown scene, there are a good amount of bars, food joints, a naval museum, and the Admiral Theater. Most of the bars in the downtown area have quirky and interesting things about them that make them unique. The Museum, located a block from the ferry dock, is free to the public if you find yourself wanting to learn some history on the Shipyards around the corner. As for the Admiral Theater, it hosts a slew of different music shows, movies, comedy nights, and more. Check their website for things happening around the time you show up!

Buses are a cheap and reliable system here

Our bus system in the Bremerton area is actually pretty decent for a smaller town. We're about a 5 minute walk from a bus transfer station that can take you to downtown Bremerton, into Silverdale, or even Poulsbo. Once downtown, you can take the ferry into Seattle and explore out there. It is free to go into the city, but you do need to pay for a ticket to get back to Bremerton. Our bus routes are the 217 and the 225. Both will take you to downtown Bremerton. The 217, however, will take you into Silverdale. Just be warned, they stop running at around 8pm and don't run at all on Sundays.

Ferry to Seattle

Our ferry in downtown Bremerton allows you to take it for free across the sound and into downtown Seattle. From out house, you can take either the 217 or the 225 bus route depending on which gets their first. The earliest ferry ride to Seattle is 4:50 am and the last ferry leaving Seattle is 12:50am. As stated before, going to Seattle is free, but coming back there is a fee. For standard walk on fares, it is, currently, $8.65. For people who have a car and would like to take that to Seattle, your vehicle will be charged both ways. $13 and up depending on your vehicle.
