Opened in 1957 this was the longest bridge in the world for a number of years. It still ranks in the top 10 world wide longest suspension bridges. The bridge is approximately a 1 hour drive from the cottage and crossing it takes you to the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Wednesday and Saturday Farmers Market

Beginning in late May and running through early October the Boyne City Farmer's Market is held in Veterans Park from 8 am until noon. In the colder months, the Farmer's Market is Saturday only and moved inside City Hall on the main floor.

Every Friday from Mid June until Early September stroll the streets of downtown Boyne City. Live music, entertainment and children's activities. As the evening winds down go to the park at Lake and Water street and view one of the most beautiful sunsets in northern Michigan over Lake Charlevoix.

The weekend after the 4th of July brings go fast boats from all over as they race from Boyne City to Charlevoix and ports on Lake Michigan on a 150 mile excursion to get the best poker hand.
