Rab is a beautiful small sand island with capital city of Rab. Deffinetly worth visiting. Very touristic, but beautiful city with nice forest park in the center of it. All the beaches are sand beaches (beach Lopar - San Marino is a big one with very shallow water). You can almost walk to onother small island across this beach. And you have a full vieuw of mountain Velebit and can see how big is it. :)

Rab is a beautiful small sand island with capital city of Rab. Deffinetly worth visiting. Very touristic, but beautiful city with nice forest park in the center of it. There is only one small store in Mrsici.
Before you come, prepere and buy stuff infront. Closest bigger stores are in Senj. Beleve me, that is far for just doing the groceries. Small store in Mrsici doesn't have too much, just basics of everything. So if you have special wishes, buy that in Rijeka or Senj on your way to here.

Guy selling tickets to Zavratnica bay goes away at one point
Usualy the guy selling tickets for Zavratnica bay is there until certain point and then goes home before the evening (with some luck before it gets dark). Then you can visit it for free. Second option is. There is a small car road that leads you to the place where you can see entire bay from above and is also totaly free.

There is nature everywhere. Mountain, sea, rocks... There is no entertainmant, no parks... If your kid is used to be entertained, prepare and take a lot of games, ball, things for the playing and discover stuff at the sea.

There is 'BURA'
Bura is a strong wind falling from the mountain. If it blows when you are there, you have a bad luck. Usually it doesnt last to long but in the case it does, than you are stuck inside. You can use it to you advantage and be lazy, sleep, play games, watch movies and open bottle of wine with your fellow travelers. :) It is also fun to expiriance it. Plus the funny thing abouth bura is that usually when it blows down in the village, it means it doesn't really blows on top of the mountain. So if whether is nice you can use the day for hiking.
