I have been dining at House Boat for over 5 years and it's a good experience every time. My parents are a huge fan, this has become their favourite place to dine in Montego Bay.
I would recommend the Shrimp Scampi, Surf and Turf or Choose your own live Caribbean lobster.

There is a Scotchies located in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. At Scotchies they prepare the most authentic Jamaican Jerk. The Jerk meat at Scotchies have been prepared and marinated in a secret jerk sauce, then placed on a large fire pit grill with pimento wood on top for extra flavor. Ask for knuckle (pork) when you go to Scotchies. The meat is very tender, flavorful, and aromatic, and make for a hearty meal.

The oxtail stew here is famous, but that curry goat looks good too. there’s so many ways to have your fish or meat prepared: steamed, escoveitch, brown stew, grilled, rundown, curried…. The wine poured, I relax, sink into the rhythm of the music gently playing in the background, and admire the outdoors-meets-indoors décor. There are no walls at Miss T’s—just a roof held up by tree-like posts decorated with red fairy lights. “No walls” describes the real Miss T, too. Anna-Kay Tomlinson (Miss T) is a self-taught chef who turned her passion for authentic Caribbean cooking into one of best restaurants in Ocho Rios, one whose reputation grows stronger every year.

For the best patties go to any Juici Patties location. There are many locations around the island. Patty and Coco-bread is a staple for most Jamaicans. KFC is Jamaica is unlike any KFC in the world. KFC is done right in Jamaica and the line up sometimes is over an hour wait. The locals who travel will tell you that the Jamaican KFC is top notch compared to other locations overseas. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts! The zinger, bbq and hot and spicy chicken is the best in my opinion.

There are many Island Grill locations in Jamaica. They all taste relatively the same and the quality of the food is always consistent. Stop by at any Island Grill location for a jerk chicken meal with rice and peas with a side of festival and plantains.

Evitas is located in Ocho Rios, their style is Italian Jamaican Fusion. While I have not gone in a while, I recall the food being very good. The View from Evitas is beautiful and fitting for the perfect meal with a glass of wine. The jerk spaghetti is tasty and for vegetarians I would defiantly try the Lasagna ‘RASTAFARI’ Fresh vegetable lasagna with calaloo and ackee.
