During snow season (June-sept), a shuttle between DP to Hotham central can be used to get to and from the Hotham snow field for ~$10-15pp Return. Bus stop is in front of Sheer Bliss. Timetable depends on time of season, see DP website. This is an easy option if you don’t intend on stopping and visiting Hotham after hours due to dinner plains being permit free zone.

Snow ball express can be taken from Melbourne/bright area to DP. See alpine spirit coaches website for more details.

DP village has some strict rules for garbage service. There is a flyer on the fridge explaining how to properly dispose of garbage. Please read to familiarise. In short- pop household garbage in red/pink supplied bags and recycling in clear designated bags and pop in the small timber hutch out front of Sheer bliss before you check out and vacate.

To avoid fines and ensure cheapest rates. Purchase lift tickets if intend of using snow field at least 14days prior to using lift pass for cheapest rates online. These can be found on Hotham website. If you intend on stopping and/or parking in the Hotham resort area during any hours, purchase a resort permit (based on daily rate per car). These can be purchased on the alpine easy access website or visit Hotham website and follow the links. Read the FAQs for further clarifications or don’t hesitate to ask becky.

- WARM suitable CLOTHING. Ensure you have warmer clothing (especially for kids). Depending on the season you visit, proper snow clothes are a must if in snow for extended periods/skiing. - inside/outside shoes. Pack warm PJs and socks/SLIPPERs for inside sheer bliss. Walking/waterproof boots to avoid slipping/wet in snow - Purchase all GROCERIES prior to climbing mountain bc supermarket can be expensive.

High chair available. If you require stair gates for young children, this is available on request. Most* of Sheer Bliss is safe for young children, please be mindful of stairs. This is a family holiday home with young children of our own. Please respect our Knick knack belongings. It would be greatly appreciated to place breakables out of reach to children to avoid damage or breakage if concerned. *double storey home, children must be watched, use at own risk*

If you have multiple persons intending on going to Hotham to ski, I’d recommend paying for 1 car resort entry pass (even though you bring multiple cars) for the duration of your ski time. So you can pick up and drop off persons (multiple trips if necessary), in the same car, go home for lunch etc, and not have to pay for 1. Multiple resort entry passes for all cars 2. Can come and go for lunch avoiding paying for return trips. This is because you don’t need a resort entry for dinner plains (provided you don’t stop or park on your way thru in the Hotham resort area - there are clear signs).

Prebook at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance any dinner reservations because these book out quick.
