Outdoor attractions
This is our favorite close-by hike, with 3 increasingly nice waterfalls in a beautiful woodland setting. Easy walking path - just walk across the bridge, go toward the parking spots/cars on the left. Beyond that is a stream you'll see feeding into the larger creek that the bridge goes over. Basically you just follow this smaller stream up along the path, and you will reach all 3 waterfalls.

Closest cute little park that has picnic areas, a playground, and a great setting next to the creek. There is a nice decently long hike starting next to the Stone Arch Bridge.

Callicoon has many cute, cool shops and restaurants, and an absolutely gorgeous stretch of road along the Delaware River not to be missed. There are also swimming areas on the Pennsylvania side of the bridge.

Sightseeing
Gorgeous open air music venue 20 minutes away with beautiful grounds open to the public year-round. We've seen Willie Nelson and Santana there, one of the best music venues I've been to.

One of our favorite local towns, Livingston Manor has cute shops and good restaurants. One of our favorites is Main Street Farm, which serves good coffee and lunch/brunch options, and has an artisanal shop featuring local products including trout, honey and beer.
