Sightseeing

Phipps is a wonderful place to feel like you’re getting out of the city. It has rooms filled with beautiful plants and installations and smells amazing! If you visit from May-September you can catch real butterflies flying around. FYI...the walkways can be a bit narrow but it is wheelchair accessible.

Even if you’ve never heard of Andy Warhol (a Pittsburgh native!) it’s really fun to see all of the exhibits. The building itself is a wonderful piece of architecture.

Food scene

Great food and fun atmosphere! Come visit an authentic German Beer Haus! It can be pretty loud inside but if you’re looking for a quieter area, their outdoor beer garden is lovely.

Déplacements

The city of bridges is most accessible by car

Pittsburgh offers a bus service and a train (called the “T”). However, waiting for public transportation could take a big chunk of time away from seeing what you want to see. The “T” is fast but only takes you from Downtown to the North Shore and to Station Square (and further into the South Hills suburbs). A car or an Uber is the best way to go.
