Would you like to take a trip to see Bavarian king Ludwig´s most beautiful castle? Only 2 hrs by bus from Munich, set in an amazing area - Disneyland castle was fashioned after this timeless castle.
You can organize the trip yourself, take a train, then bus to the castle. If you do so, make sure you pre-book a ticket online - avoid standing in line for hours.
However, we strongly recommend to take one of the tour busses there.
You start in central Munich, get taken directly to the castle and if you book with the right operator, your ticket is either included or you get at least a pre-booked ticket to avoid standing in line.
Typically a day trip takes about 10 - 11 hrs to the castle and back.
DO NOT MISS a short walk behind the castle up the hill to where the hanging bridge is - sensational photo spot of the castle with lovely lake in the background.
