Be careful when using GPS as mine wanted to take us to the wrong side of the lake. Follow the signs once you get into the Wintergreen area at the bottom of the mountain. Decent amount of parking. Bathrooms are available. Small beach on one side of the lake that is the only swimming area. They have an inflatable trampoline & slide in the water for the kids. They require everyone to wear life vests. Not sure if this was due to no lifeguard on duty that day or if that is every day. Paddleboards, paddle bikes, and kayak rentals available. Basic foods like burgers and hotdogs. Fishing from the pier and some banks of the lake is available. Picnic areas with grills. One sand volleyball court. Walking trail around the lake is short but some nicely made chairs are on the other side of the lake from the swimming area that has an awesome view with the mountain in the background.

A hidden gem that not even may locals frequent. Very peaceful place when you want to get away from the world. You can fish with a licence, cookout, pack a lunch, boat and swim. You can watch the train when it passes. Well kept bathroom, and playground. You can sit there and just let the weight of the world just melt away.
