Days out

Lewes is my home town and well worth a visit if you fancy exploring beyond Brighton. About 15 minutes by train. Highlights are the castle, Anne of Cleve's House, Grange Gardens and antique shops.

One of England's most iconic landscapes. Walk the whole way from Eastbourne to Seaford if you have a day (and energy) to spare - both towns are easily reached by train from Brighton. An easier option is to go by bus - catch the number 12 from outside the Sea Life centre and get off at the Seven Sisters visitor centre. My favourite place along the route is the Tiger Inn at East Dean.
