During the summer this river will be very cool and nice for kids activities. (But please keep your eye on your kids as there is no one to attend.)

Aire de repos Meijinomori Kuroiso
This "Michino-eki" or "roadside station" has attracted many people because of vegetable and local food market as well as bread, ice cream and food place. Within the location there is huge garden which you may see seasonal flowers. The 100 year house once was summer house for Japanese high ranking officer Shuzo Aoki.
This is one of the two 道の駅 (michino-eki, roadside station) in Nasu area. (The other is Meijino-mori) It has some local vegetable shopping and food place available and may spend 1-2hrs there.
