Go fishing for bass, catfish and bluegill. The Williamsport Lakes are on Highway 50 about 10 miles northwest of Columbia, just past the Duck River and two miles east of the Natchez Trace Parkway, at the junction of Highways 50 and 247. Boat launching ramp - Fishing piers - Bait & tackle - Boat rental Whippoorwill (only youths 16 & under & accompanying adult may fish this lake) - 25 acres Blue Cat - 80 acres Goldeneye - 13 acres Shellcracker - 46 acres. Go to Williamsport Lakes Concessions run by the Patterson/Bailey family for bait, daily fishing permit and information daily from March 1 to November 1.
