Leadville's newest (and now only) brewery. A family-friendly place that usually has sidewalk chalk and corn hole. Dogs are not allowed. I haven't tried any of the food yet, but they just hired a new chef to overhaul the menu. The pale ale, lager, and porter are all good,.

The local coffee shop is a happening scene. You can always find locals on their laptops or just sitting around discussing local issues. The breakfast burritos are delicious and the coffee is good. They even have a self-serve station in the back if you just want a regular coffee and don't want to wait in line. The walls are decorated with art from local artists, including the beautiful terrain carvings by Peter Frykholm.

Favorite place in town to grab a drink with friends! This reclaimed train depot at the old Smith Lumberyard is THE place to be in Leadville. Great space outdoors to play cornhole or sit around the fire pit. Indoors you might find live music, a bounce house, arts and crafts, or storytelling. Family and dog-friendly place with awesome owners!

This place was just opened by the owners of Treeline Kitchen, located directly across the street. Beautiful interior that mixes original rustic charm with hip and trendy furniture. I didn't get to try the food, although it smelled teriffic. The Old Fashioned and Stubborn Mule were excellent drinks!

Our local ski mountain is top-notch for family fun. With lower prices and shorter lines than the surrounding resorts, it is a favorite among locals. The ski/snowboard lessons are amazing, especially for the little ones. You'll be amazed by the skills of our local 3 & 4-year-olds. There is also child-care available, but only for potty-trained kids.

Conseils sur la ville

Que faut-il apporter?

Bring layers. And sunscreen/sunhats.

Even though the record high temperature in Leadville is only 85, prepare for some intense heat.... and extreme cold. Because we are 2-miles closer to the sun, you can get a sunburn here in the winter. The sun is HOT! But cross the street to the shady side and you need your jacket. Be aware that even in the summer it gets pretty chilly at night. Layers are encouraged for all seasons.
