Enjoy the area

An enjoyable visit for any age, local families love to visit the wildlife park to enjoy their range of animals and great play area. They have various talks throughout the day and often extra activities during school holidays.

With a range of walking and mountain bike routes all starting at the visitors centre, this is a great place to get outdoors and enjoy the woodland and the views. Also home to a cafe and a gift shop, along with the local 'Go Ape' course there is no shortage of ways to spend your time. Coming as a family? We can recommend the large and varied play area along with the themed short kids walk trail.

A drive down the Borrowdale valley from Keswick is a beautiful thing to do and there are a number of great walks to enjoy while you are there. Be sure to get a good start to your day though, there are a few car parks but they can fill up quickly.

Sightseeing

Park in the national trust car park and walk down the well marked path to one of the areas most well known tourist sites, a giant rock, apparently precariously balanced which was a result of a glacial rockslide.
