I highly recommend going check out Mimi's and the Franklin strip in general. Mimi's is 2 stories and is hands down the best food (tapas) in the city after midnight.

Food Scene

Sneaky Pickle is my favorite restaurant in the city. It has the freshest, most delicious local food and is also one of the least expensive places to eat out. Vegan friendly!

If you're a coffee/espresso snob (I am), this is one of the very few places in the city to get good coffee. It's also right in the middle of the french quarter by Jackson Square.

Laid back bar/vietnamese restaurant. One of my favorite spots in the city. Cool employees, they have movie nights, every time I go it seems like they're playing 90's hip-hop or shoegaze. Recommended.

Old school French Quarter bar and Louisiana/creole/seafood restaurant with a cool atmosphere and interior. The food is the main reason you go here. Potentially long waits/snarky staff but it's worth it so just be on your best behavior. ;)

Swimming! I love this place. An old New Orleans mansion turned restaurant with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and an indoor and outdoor bar. You can swim in your underwear if you don't have a swimsuit! ;)

This is the most popular tattoo and piercing shop in the city. They have some of the best tattooers around as well as the best piercer without the pretentious attitude of other shops. 10 blocks away!

If you're into contemporary art, there is a famous Banksy piece on the corner here with 3 more around the city and another within walking distance. This is my favorite and is protected by plexiglass.

Park at the end of the street, go up the stairs, take a right through the fence onto the levee before you get to the bridge, and walk all the way down until you get to the end of the world...

Crescent Park! It only took the city YEARS to open it after they finished building it. Really cool park, great view of the city at dusk, brand new. Next to Country Club, Pizza Delicious, etc...
