TBT: Homeless Encampments
Pioneer Square is not free from the challenges the city faces and is evident as soon as you arrive. Expect homeless encampments in the area, especially as you get closer to downtown.
Safest areas to walk is along Alaska Way or 1st Ave at anytime of day. Advise caution around Occidental and Yesler as well as all areas along 3rd Ave. Please practice street smarts and be aware of your surroundings at all times and no matter where you go.

J Pod Orcas
If you decide to travel by ferry, don't miss the Orca's that may be passing through Puget Sound. Ferries are required to slow and yield to the Killer Whales and would typically announce of their presence through the loud speakers. J Pod is known to travel throughout the Puget Sound year round with K and L Pods also seen in the area from time to time.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) generally publishes Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR's) during large events, such as sports and concerts. We are also located within five miles of SeaTac Airport, which is a Class E airspace, and any flights are limited to a maximum ceiling of 100 ft AGL.

If you're interested in visiting all of the five attractions, it's definitely a great discount to have. This includes 30-day access to the Space Needle, Seattle Aquarium, Museum of Pop Culture, Woodland Park Zoo, and Chihuly Garden and Glass. Once restrictions are lifted this may also include Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour and Pacific Science Center.
