Sightseeing

This is yet another popular destination for tourists and is especially a favourite evening haunt for people to chill out. The fort overlooks the Chapora river and hence its name. The best time to visit Chapora Fort is evening time because sunset sky looks spectacular from here. Moreover, when the sky paints everything around, especially the Chapora River and beaches of Chapora, in its sunset colour, ah! the sight is just out of this world.

A picturesque location settled in North Goa is close to both Vagator and Anjuna beach of North Goa. A small charming location nestled behind the hillocks from where Chapora fort is easily accessible and visible. A thrilling entrance adds an exuberance experience for travelers, as to reach there one has to climb up a small hill. One of the major attractions of Goa, Ozran is encapsulated with lush greenery and pristine surroundings. As the place is insanely beautiful, one cannot resist themselves from spending a day here enjoying the true natural bliss. There is so much so to explore, on the northern side people spot a grandeur structure, believes to be a huge human face carved on it. The best time to visit is the daytime or the early morning when one can witness the rising sun which is another great experience similar to the view of the sunset, too. A less crowded beach has become a hotspot for foreign tourists. Some of the beach huts are also present around the vicinity that offers scrumptious local delicacies to the visitors; indeed Ozran is an ideal destination to spend some leisure time with family and friends.

Artjuna is right up there with our favourite cafes in Anjuna. Along with all-day breakfast, outstanding espresso coffee, salads, smoothies, sandwiches and Middle Eastern surprises like baba ganoush, tahini and falafel, this sweet garden cafe has an excellent craft and lifestyle shop, yoga classes, movie nights and a useful noticeboard. Great meeting place.

Set in a pleasant garden, Goa's Ark breaks the mould of most same-same restaurants, specialising in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine with meze, barbecued meat and falafel. Chargrilled steaks and fish and chips contribute to a meat-heavy menu but vegetarians are not overlooked with baba ganoush, veg burgers and lentil salads.

Bar

n season this hole-in-the-wall bar on Chapora’s main street overflows with good music and cold beer. In the late afternoon the few tables on the verandah are a fine spot to watch the world in miniature go by.

This is my favourite bar in Goa. The cocktails are amazing and the food is great. They have events on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I highly recommend to check this out.
