Right up the hill from us, businesses are centered on Penn and Liberty Ave. A few great coffee shops, wonderful tacos, a community pool and bocce court under the bridge in the summer, and great Thai food. Anchored by Children’s Hospital and boasting one of the city’s best farmers markets on Saturdays.

Right up the hill from us, businesses are centered on Penn and Liberty Ave. A few great coffee shops, wonderful tacos, a community pool and bocce court under the bridge in the summer, and great Thai food. Anchored by Children’s Hospital and boasting one of the city’s best farmers markets on Saturdays.

Right at the bottom of the hill, great place to start your day with coffee, quiche and delicious pastries. Grab a few and stroll to the nearby cemetery for a great morning picnic (the almond croissants are delicious!)

Our favorite locally focused ice cream joint, oozing with quality and wonderfully locally sourced to help our local economy, Millies has incredible fresh waffle cones, creative flavors, and vegan options that are just as good as their traditional ice creams! It’s not the cheapest in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for, and they pay their staff generously!

It’s not the cheapest in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for, and they pay their staff generously!
