Delicious home baked bread and pastries, they also serve breakfast on location. Good prices, friendly people. My favorite is cinnamon roll. No views, but great breakfast, and you can hit the beach after that.

I love this Italian restaurant - they have delicious capuccino, as well as pastries, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Pasta, focaccias, tiramisu, pizza (also gluten free). Not a traditional Mexican palapa style restaurant, one of my favorites.

This place is cozy and fun. I've been going there for pizza since 2008 (you can also get gluten free pizza) - I always get Captain Tony's pizza. They have fresh seafood (try the tasting platter or Tracy's tuna tostadas), traditional Mexican dishes, and you can even bring your fresh catch to them to be cooked. Ladies night with Live Music on Thursdays, Friday night live mariachi band, and Saturday live music with a rock band. You can also watch any sports game on their multiple TVs. And I love that I can bring my dog along.

If you love japanese food, you will love Suviche restaurant, located within One & Only Palmilla resort. Chef Yoshi is amazing, the ambiance is beautiful, redecorated after hurricane Odile, with pleasant live music. We've tried all japanese restaurants in Los Cabos area, and Suviche beats them all. Truly authentic, no cream cheese in your sushi.

Farm to table restaurant with amazing author cuisine created by two chefs from San Francisco. The setting is amazing - neslted on an acre of land, in between a palm trees oasis. Beautiful architecture and interior design, very contemporary and yet traditional. They have Sunday brunches, DJ parties on every 1st Friday in the month. Try their tasting menu. Delicious!

For the best tacos and great mezcal and artisan beer menu, don't miss La Lupita restaurant in the center of San Jose del Cabo. My favorite tacos are with duck & mole and cochinita. Friendly atmosphere and great live band.

Baja's own beer brewing company, winner of several awards for beer nationally and internationally. My husband loves the Scorpion beer, or Baja Blonde. In summer I like Raspberry beer, it's very refreshing with a light touch of raspberry. They also have pizzas, as well as hamburgers (try the one with blue cheese), and some seafood and salads. Live music on weekends.

Drinks & Nightlife

A great place just one block from the Medano beach. I love the decor (Morrocan lamps) and great ambiance. Sit by the bar and enjoy watching bartender prepare your gin & tonic, margarita or another favorite cocktail. They also have live music and a restaurant. Delicious food, but make a reservation before you go. They are quite full normally.

For spectacular sunset, ocean, and Land's End views visit The Rooftop at The Cape Hotel. The Rooftop is an open place bar / terrace, with the best views, cross my heart. You will love it - I never get tired of the views there. Drinks are fabulous. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth a visit. The often have DJ sets and concerts / events. Check their FB page for the latest events.

This is a tiny little bar on the main street in downtown Cabo, owned by our friend Adela from Oaxaca. The music is good, the beer and drinks are cheap, and we always have so much fun. If you pass by, don't miss to stop by and say hi. She's amazing and we love Sangria's.

Sightseeing

Take a Jazz & Wine sunset tour for a ride on a catamaran around the Land's End. You'll see Lovers and Divorcee beaches, Pelican rock, snorkeling spots, as well as a sealion colony that lives by the rocks of the Land's End. From December to March you might even be able to see the whales! Sometimes I feel these tours are cheesy, but we always take our friends when they visit, and we always wish we would go do this every month. It gives you a beautiful perspective of Cabo, and you can enjoy the nature in its full meaning. I would not recommend you take the Booze cruise or similar boat rides that also go around the arch.

Uninhabited, UNESCO protected island, with some of the most amazing beaches and bays. If you visit La Paz, Baja capital, and if you have time, visit Espíritu Santo Island. There's a colony of about 200-300 sealions, you can spot the dolphins, and enjoy amazing beaches and seafood. We go there camping (organized camping with Baja Camp), and it's my favorite place in the world. One of the few spots where there is no wi-fi, cell signal or internet, which makes it even more attractive, and a place where you can really disconnect.

Besides Walmart, Costco is our place to go for groceries shopping. Meat, fish, veggies, and some other things you can't get in Walmart. They also sell other items, like home decor and they have a pharmacy.

Arts & Culture

Art Walk is a local tradition - every Thursday from 6 pm onwards in San Jose del Cabo, artists bring their art to the main plaza, and galleries are open until late at night, many offering wine and cheese. Restaurants and bars have live music and it's really fun to stroll around, see art, meet friends and new people, and afterwards having a delicious meal or snacks and drinks, while listening to a band.
