Motor vehicle or cycling is the fastest way to get around.
Parking is free on the cobbles of Barnard Castle for 2 hours but park straight in the lines, dont overhang and be back on time or the ever present parking attendants will get you.
Most other places all have free parking except Morrisons groceries store car park which charges by the hour.
