This beautiful park is 5 minutes walk from the holiday home and has beautiful walks and botanical gardens. Although the gardens are at their most stunning during August, when a full programme of events and tours are staged, there is something to see throughout the year. The herbaceous borders are a fantastic sight from late March until mid October, and even during the harsh winter months the garden has lots to offer with up to 200 different plants having been seen in flower during the Christmas season.

Food, shops, sightseeing

This is a little seaside village with lots to see, do and eat! Mumbles is a short drive (or reachable on a bike ride) and has a large range of restaurants, bars and shops with beautiful views across Swansea Bay. It is about an hours walk from The holiday home with the route being flat along the seaside promenade.

Great to explore this marina and there are some fantastic places to buy fresh fish to cook at home… or eat at a restaurant in the Marina. ‘The Tower’ Wales’s tallest building is also found in the Marina and it has a restaurant with stunning views in the penthouse. Reachable on foot with 50 minutes walk along the seaside promenade

This is the local village of the holiday home where there are some shops and restaurants including a small festival and coop for buying essentials. We recommend many places to eat within walking distance of the holiday home (Dilly’s, Dario’s, Slice, Kristies bakery etc). There are also 2 vintage shops in Sketty which are with a visit and browse !

Sightseeing and food

A fabulous beach to explore with Sandy coastline and beautiful cliffs. Great for Kayak, snorkel or SUP (not so good for surf). There is also a Michelin star restaurant on the beach called the Beach House. The Oxwich Bay hotel is also situated at the end of the beach which is a great place for drinks and food
