A beautiful long beach - huge expanses of sand at low tide. Stunning cliffs and views. Adventure Bay offer surf board hire and lessons. Don't miss the wonderful Cliff Top Cafe. About 45 mins to an hour's drive (be careful if parking on the side of the road to ensure all wheels are off the road, or you may get a parking ticket). The 70 / 70A / 70B bus goes to Whitsand from the city centre.

A beautiful long beach - huge expanses of sand at low tide. Stunning cliffs and views. Adventure Bay offer surf board hire and lessons. Don't miss the wonderful Cliff Top Cafe. About 45 mins to an hour's drive (be careful if parking on the side of the road to ensure all wheels are off the road, or you may get a parking ticket). The 70 / 70A / 70B bus goes to Whitsand from the city centre.

Lovely for a pub lunch at the Ship Inn and a swim from the steps at the end of the road (best at high water). At low water there are walkways across the river bed.
