Conwy is a beautiful town boasting a castle, harbour and the smallest house in Wales! I recommend walking walking the castle walls (free!). Lovely place to spend a morning or afternoon and plenty of shops and cafes.

I love this beach. A great cove to have a picnic/lazy day at and you can also walk the headland to an ancient burial chamber.

Newborough Beach and Llanddwyn Island are favourites among tourists and locals alike. Amazing beach with a forest and view of Snowdonia National Park. Llanddwyn Island is home to Santes Dwynwen, Wales' Patron Saint of Lovers. Did you know that we celebrate "Diwrnod Santes Dwynwen/Saint Dwynwen's Day" rather than Valentine's Day in Wales? It takes place on January 25th.

Another beautiful beach near to Porth Trecastell. Tends to have street food in the car park at weekends in the Summer. Expansive beach for walks, playing games or having a picnic. Near to the Oyster Catcher restaurant - good place for food or post-beach drinks.

Voted one of the best beach bars in the world, this is a hidden gem in Wales. Down on the Peninsula, it is quite a trek to get to (and a walk either along a beach or across a golf course) but is worth it on a sunny day. Do check it's open before making the journey!

Anglesey Coastal Path is a marked route that follows much of the island's coastline. It is 130 miles long and divided into 12 sections. Maps are available to download on visitanglesey.co.uk. My personal favourite is section 3 (Cemaes to Amlwch). The house is on the footpath too (Section 7- Beaumaris to Llanfairpwll). It is better to have two cars so one can be left at the beginning and one at the destination or to go through a company like "Anglesey Walking Holidays" who arrange pick ups and drop offs.
