This is now called The Crown at Ampney Brook, fabulously renovated inside. Super warm contemporary Cotswold style, Just down the road toward Cirencester. Also a boutique hotel. Good and varied menu. Slightly more pricey than the Falcon.

We have the Corinium Museum, and New BreweryArts, which has an exhibition space, cafe and shop. Good market on Fridays, Farmer’s market alternate Saturdays.

Considered the southern gateway to the Cotswolds, Burford is a really old Cotswold town. Very beautiful with an ancient medieval bridge. These churchey photos don’t do it justice. Lots of cafes and restaurants. The Burford Garden Company is worth a visit too on the outskirts. Beautiful homeware, a lovely art gallery and big cafe… as well as loads of gorgeous garden stuff!
