Weekends can be long lines at the ferry dock, especially at Fauntleroy, (the North end to West Seattle). Due to the closure of the West Seattle Bridge, commute times to downtown Seattle are longer. Taking a foot ferry for a weekday trip would be the simplest way to see Pike Place, the Space Needle and restaurants there using Uber. It is hilly. https://www.wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetail.aspx?departingterm=9&arrivingterm=22&roundtrip=true There are cameras that help see the wait times and alerts to any ferry delays. Vessel watch shows you where the ferries are and arrival times.

To protect your feet from deck slivers and barnacles at the beach shoes are recommended outside. Please take your shoes off when in the house.

Seattle Sight Seeing
The west Seattle bridge is closed for repair. The least amount of hassle to get to downtown Seattle would be to use the walk on passenger ferry directly from Vashon to downtown Monday through Fridays during commuter hours. On Saturdays there is a direct passenger ferry from the Southworth ferry dock, requiring a connection first from Vashon to Southworth. Then Uber or Rent a bike to get around town. Pike place is walking distance from the Coleman Seattle Ferry dock.
