Sightseeing

There is an entrance less than a mile from my house. It’s a pleasant walk, but there’s also plenty of free parking there. Awbury has 2 sections. One is all community gardens, goats, chickens, farming cooperatives, etc. and the other section is a true arboretum with lots of trails under a full canopy of beautiful trees. There are hills, ponds, birdhouses, wildflowers, everything is so refreshing and relaxing. Highly recommend! You can bring dogs but they have to be leashed. This is open 365 days a year.

Food scene

So much good food of many different varieties! Fancy bakeries, casual bakeries, chocolate shops, local cheese, handmade candles, fresh produce, fresh flowers, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, soft pretzels, seafood, smoothies, Chinese, Greek, Indian, and on and on…. This is a lot of fun and I consider it a must-see when my friends visit from out of town. This is in Center City (not Mt Airy). So you have to drive and park, Uber, or take the train. The train drops you off right in front of the market, and I provide Septa cards so you can load fare onto them if you want this option.
