Mount Rosea has got to be one of our favourite hikes. 4 hour return from Mt Rosea car park. If you are reasonably fit and take snacks and a water bottle, wear good shoes and be prepared for all weather you will have a good time. Some of the best 360 degree views of the Grampians.

The new Grampians Peaks Trail has a wonderful track that passes under Boroka lookout and takes you up along the eastern escarpment of the Grampians. This track can be accessed from Chatauqua saddle for a great all day hike with brilliant views. Returning to Halls Gap via Boroka lookout (car park) and the old Boroka walking track. There is however a 3 km section of dirt vehicle track walking to connect the 2 routes. Graded for experienced hikers.

Venus Baths is a well graded hike that is easily accessed past the tennis courts, through the Halls Gap Botanical Gardens following Stoney creek in an impressive landscape. The Venus Baths rock pools are a fun place for everyone to splash in the water on a hot day. Only 20 minutes to get there, or more to explore along the way and spend as much time as you like playing or picnicking on the rock bars. Pram and wheelchair accessible.

You can take a drive to MacKenzie Falls and walk down to the rock pool below. If you have a group with 2 vehicles, it can be good to leave your second vehicle at Zumsteins car park and do a through hike from MacKenzie falls down to Zumsteins via Fish Falls .

Livefast is a great place in the Stoney Creek walkway to meet with friends for coffee or brunch. A 10 minute walk along the bike path from Ant's Halls Gap house. You may see some of our Quamby Farm produce there too.
